This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you shop, sell, or browse our multi-vendor marketplace, where independent brands (“Vendors”) sell products to customers (“Buyers”). By using ShoppingNest, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Account & Order Data: Name, email, phone, address, password, order history, and payment details when you register, shop, or sell on ShoppingNest.

Comments When visitors leave comments or product reviews on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it — see their privacy policy. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible publicly next to your comment.

Media, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the site.

Automatic data IP address, device/browser type, and general location are collected via cookies and standard web logs.

Cookies

  • If you leave a comment, you may opt in to save your name, email, and website in a cookie for convenience. These last years.years.years.

  • Vendors editing/publishing a product listing get an additional cookie storing only the post ID, expiring after 1 day.

Pages on ShoppingNest may include embedded content (videos, images, product widgets, etc.) from other websites. This content behaves exactly as if you’d visited that other website directly — it may collect data about you, use cookies, add third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction, especially if you’re logged into that third-party site.

How We Share Your Data

  • Vendors receive only the buyer information (name, address, order details) needed to fulfill your order
  • Payment processors (JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer) handle transactions securely
  • If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email
  • Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam-detection service
  • We never sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties

How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognise and auto-approvlast years, years,nyears.ments instead of holding them for moderation.
  • Registered users’ profile information is stored while their account is active. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal data anytime (except username), and administrators can also access and edit this data.
  • Order and transaction records may be kept longer where required for tax, legal, or accounting purposes.

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account, have placed an order, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. Vendors may use buyer data only to fulfil orders — not for unsolicited marketing. ShoppingNest is not liable for a vendor’s misuse of data outside this scope.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Order and payment data are sent securely to our payment processors (JazzCash, Easypaisa, and bank transfer partners) solely to complete transactions.

Children’s Privacy

ShoppingNest is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
